Let is Snow, Let it snow, let it snow

YEAH!! We will have a white Christmas here in Maryland. I know that for some there is a groan. Last minute shopping. Food for Christmas dinner. Yeah!! I know the feeling but put those thoughts aside and look at the pictures.

We have been blessed with a beautiful picture of what God can provide. Today the sun is shining and I took several pictures around my house of the beautiful snow. (I took them from the doorways.)

The snow is still white and no one has walked on it yet. So enjoy.

Operation Gratitude Update

Well I have been busy making scarves. I have made my goal. I have now made 10 scarves. There is one brown, one solid charcoal gray, two charcoal gray with white strips, one forest green, one white with forest green stripes, 3 black, one dark country blue with white stripes. I'm hoping that anyone else who would like to make a scarf for out troops overseas will make one scarf. The Create Crochet Team is trying to reach a goal of 50 scarves. The more the merrier.

Check out my Ravelry account for pictures of the individual scarves.

Operation Gratitude

I've finished four scarves for Operation Gratitude. The Create Crochet Team is making 50 scarves for members of the services. The scarves cannot be longer than 50 inches and 5 - 7 inches wide. Any pattern but the colors should be military colors. Here are three of the one I have completed. (I made two with the same pattern and color.) I would like to make a few more. What about you?

If you have questions or would like to join our quest, please let me know at jcbutler0551@comcast.net.

40th Class Reunion

Wow!!! Last night I went to my 40th Class Reunion from High School. It was really fun. Many of us went to school together from elementary school to high school. When you think about it - that means I've known them most of my life. We were all stumbling along trying to remember faces and names. We would ask each other - did we have a class together or do I know you or I don't remember you. Also, the group of us that went to elementary school together - remembered. It was fun.

Do you know, I probably wouldn't have gone to my class reunion except that one of my friends from elementary school was coming back to the area after 38 years. We hadn't been in touch but I remembered. In school I was always shy and I didn't really belong to any clicks. I always thought that nobody knew me. This reunion changed that and I am really glad. We are all somebody and we are remembered. One of my friends said you know - "we did all get older."

So those who don't know if they want to go to the class reunion or to go see an old friend. Don't be afraid nothing stays the same and 'we [do] all get older' despite our wishes not too. Enjoy life - Life is too short and God put us here to live.
